Firenze

We made it to Florence this afternoon. Another good hotel experience - free happy hour AND free breakfast... hard to come by in Europa. And lucky for you we have a laptop in our room!

So of course we visited the happy hour tonight before dinner and our concierge recommended Garga, which ended up being a great recommendation. Rori & Kellen, we're going to try Osteria I Brincello (or something like that :)) before we leave. For dinner, we had spicy bruschetta, spaghetti with citrus sauce, veal and the best potatoes ever... we'll make them for you when we get home. And for dessert, pineapple and strawberries... yummy, but still dying for gelato. The restaurant had a great atmosphere... and great house wine. :)
Tomorrow we're going to rome Florence... shop and see museums. Monday I'm trying to talk Jimmy into renting a car to go to Pisa and San G or somewhere, but we'll see. If we don't do that we'll end up on a guided tour of a few cities, wineries, etc., which would be great too. We'll keep you posted.

Until later.

Oh, I forgot to post this pic of our favorite dessert in Paris. Mmmm... we'll have to figure this one out at home. It was delish!

Hi there,

I would recommend San G and or Sienna,
San G was one of our favorites, we spent the
night in a charming in right on the square.

You are lucky, lucky kids!!!!!

Have a wonderful time!

How fun it is to travel with you this way! I hope you still had some good views of the Matterhorn even with all the snow (which looked very pretty by the way!) Couldn't quite make out the dessert you want to fix someday. Need a description on that one!:-) Love you! Aunt Sass

Be careful of pick pockets in Florence! One group of gypsies tried to pick Terry's pocket, but we saw them coming, and a friend of ours screamed, and Terry ALWAYS walks with his hand in his pocket on his money clip! He felt the little hand in his pocket, but he had ahold of what they wanted.

In spite of that, we loved Firenze! In fact, I'm wearing a sweat shirt from there today!

I am so jealous! Firenze is my favorite city in all the world! I studied there for a few months, I LOOOVE it. You should do San Gim and Sienna. Pisa is the leaning tower and that is all. If you rent a car and to go to Pisa, go to Lucca, very close and neat town. Have fun, do some shopping in the San Lorenzo market! AND eat gelato, all day!!!
